Missions Blitz – The History
Missions Blitz is our congregation’s collective worship in service to the community.  Missions Blitz began as one day of service on a Sunday in September 2012.  Church servants from ages 2 to 102 became the sermon by completing projects throughout the community.  Projects range from providing meals and completing repairs at local shelters and transition houses to cleaning and landscaping areas at local schools.
Since 2012, Missions Blitz has expanded into multiple days of reaching our local community, as well as fulfilling call to our global community.  The Health and Fitness Fair was added to provide health screenings, exercise tips, and healthy food demonstrations to the community.  We host a 5K Walk/Run and 20-Mile Bike Ride to benefit our mission partners in Carries, Haiti.  We also host a golf tournament in partnership with HOPE Inc. which benefits the cause of homelessness in our region.
Missions Blitz Sunday is now Missions Blitz Month and although 2020 and Covid-19 has changed the way in which we can serve our community, we invite you to continue to spread love, lend a hand, and show Christ along with us!
